Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines recently mounted a special multimedia exhibit in celebration of its 29th anniversary of sharing happiness. The show featured select indigenous communities and schools it has been supporting through the years
Dubbed as “Happiness Project 2.0,” the exhibit, which ran until December 2, showcased the works of young and aspiring filmmakers, photographers and journalists from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts and the University of Santo Tomas. The students joined the foundation in its outreach programs and interacted with the community members to learn about the latter’s daily lives.
Their immersion brought out faces and stories of happiness in Bataan, Mountain Province, Negros Occidental and Nueva Vizcaya. DLS-CSB SDA exhibited the images and videos, while curatorial texts were provided by UST Journalism students.
In addition to the exhibit about daily life in indigenous communities, the videos produced by the DLS-CSB SDA Multimedia Arts students for the 13th Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations Awards were also featured.
Coca-Cola Foundation has been working with local communities in its mission “to refresh the world, inspire moments of optimism, create value, and make a difference,” particularly in the areas of water stewardship and education.
Tapping the students this time around was aimed to engage the youth in the foundation’s advocacy as well as to spark interest in the next generation to work for positive change and strive for happiness in their respective communities.
