At a recent media conference and fan meeting, the director shared how effortless it was to work with Donny and Belle.

“I didn’t have to work on their chemistry,” she said. “They’re so comfortable with each other on and off screen,” she continued, even referring to DonBelle as the most popular love team today. As for the series, she described it as “light, comedic, and a breath of fresh air.”

Their senior co-stars, Mylene Dizon and Angel Aquino, agreed wholeheartedly. They even teased fans with hints of off-screen closeness between DonBelle, which the duo playfully brushed aside. Instead, the pair focused on how the series represents a milestone in their careers.

“Our characters are more mature, dealing with significant matters but in a light and sweet way,” they said.

The series, which premiered on Nov. 25, dives into the issue of catfishing—a digital-age phenomenon many viewers will find relatable. Belle stars as Cha Fontanilla, a young woman who forms a connection with Matt Flores (Donny) through an online forum. But her budding romance takes a surprising turn when she learns Matt isn’t the person she’s been chatting with. The real Matt, unaware his identity was used by his friend JR Valdez (Jameson Blake), discovers the deception and reluctantly agrees to help JR pursue Cha. However, Matt soon finds himself developing feelings for her, creating a web of emotional complexity.
